It is our great pleasure to introduce some very special people in these pages - people who have given up their time to research various wars and battles and to speak to numerous survivors in order to capture for posterity, the views of the real brave and courageous people who were actually involved in the thick of war.

If it weren't for the efforst of these people, we would never know what it was like to serve in a war. We would know nothing of the conditions, often unimaginable in which our forces have had to serve in times of war.
